The best and the very best well known model of knowledge is the human brain.The five senses touch,taste,vision,hearing and smell,the brain computes the data,converts it into information and stores it in the memory.One part in the left half of the brain interprets the data while the right part applies logic and starts a thought process.somewhere else in the brain inquisitiveness pops up in its head and investigation starts.The intuition comes to the aid from somewhere.Feedback is collected from environment.Finally a concoction of information intelligence,intuition investion and inquisitiveness is formed and thus tha new horizon of technology emerged in the divergent fields.The technological revolution that is continuously taking place in the world over and the feasibility of collecting ,storing the information and converting it into technological concept by of the computer technology has made it possible to have repository of fathomless and limitless expanse of ocean of information and knowledge.
In the 21st century,a new society is emerging where technical concept is the primary production resource instead of capital,labour.For rapid development a nation should attain the stage of a knowledge society.Modern-civilisation has become so complicated and sophisticated that one has to be competitive enough to survive.This comples people to keep themselves informed of all types of happening in the society and information technology is an important field,awareness of which is otherwise we would lag far behind the developed nation of the world.The internet has provided a mighty tool for convergence of knowledge around tha world.It comprises a distributed hypermedia system using general purpose client server technology and diversity of knowledge source and computing resource.This has become valuable asset for intellectuals,engineer,researchers and students.There is always a possibility that user can get totally lost,if not drowned in tha vast ocean of information.Large number of software tools are available which provide access to the knowledge portals and digital libraries and present the data to the user in value added format using multimedia and virtual system and various tools and techniques like graphical use interface(GOI) and animation and 3D virtual projections.Technology is generating better performance and achieving break through in the business operations productivity improvement and in cost reduction when empowered with knowledge and rapid development.Basically,almost every industry be it manufacturing industry,semiconductor industry using nano-technology,pharmaceutical industry or nano-biotechnology based industry,all of that harvesting technology for rapid development.The convergence of tools like artificial intelligence(AI ) and expert systems knowledge modelling programmes and brain storming sessions.Software tools like secure,store,track and manage documents.synchronous interaction tools,data mining tools,e-learning system and enterprise resource planning tools(ERP) are often used in technical field.Another effective tools for collecting business intelligence and for extra-polation of trend setting predictions is the delphi analysis(DA).In this process a questionnaire is circulated among the experts in the field and their views and opinions about the future of a particular technology are sought .A futuristic technology scenario based on the consensus is projected on the canvass and is used for strategis planning of a company.Satellites take the pictures of fish shoals moving in the oceans .The global positioning system(GPS) using the satellites determines the latitude,the longitude and depth of the lacation of the fish shoals and transmit it in real time to the fishing boat.The boat gets navigational assistance from satellites reach the top,where fish located and see the images of the fish shoals on the monitor of their fish finder equipment.The cache becomes voluminous ,technical support provided by hi-tech system to the small fisherman helps in enchancing productivity for rapid development.
IBM is backing a research centre being developed at RENSSELAER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE (RPI) worth $100 million. The computational centre for nano-technology innovation(CCNI) based at renssalaer technology park in troy,Newyork fuels further research into shrinking electronic development including computer chip.An IBM BLUE-GENE SUPER COMPUTER,yet to be built will power the effort.It will be able to perform trillion calculation per seconds(70 teraflops).According to the herb schultz marketing manager for blue gene,IBM to do simulation on how molecules react ,which is the essence of nano-technology ,researchers need computing power for blue gene.
Royal philips electronics has released a TV–on mobile chip that is six times smaller than the previous versions.The TV on mobile technology provides consumer with live access to news, sports highlights, music videos, interactive programming and more on mobile phones,personal media players and other small portable devices,named BGT215 ,the chip measures just 7x7 square mm but contains all the functionality of a complete digital TV front–end receiver. Small size makes it easy to integrate the chip into the mobiles phones,enabling extensive product differentiation for the smaller,more elegant phones design with greater consumer apply.The chip maintenance of advanced features of prior version and deliver low power consumpion .Intel has developed the world’s first microchip that promises to be a more powerful,efficient processors.The fingernail sized memory chip is etched with one billion transistor that are only 45 nanometres wide around 1000 times smaller than a red blood cell.Packing about two times as many transistor per unit area,it will help future products and platforms deliver improved performance.Windows xp has arrived on intel based macs,courtesy of two new pieces of softrware-Apple’s boot camp and parallels’workstation 2.1.boot camp is an option for anyone who’dlike to run OS X but still needs windows for productivity or gaming for rapid development.Boot camp works only on apple’s new intel-based macs plus a firmware update.Netgear and skype have unveiled wi-fi phones that function over the VOICE-OVER-IP service.The phone allows skype wireless users to call anyone anywhere in the world.The skype users can use the phone on any wireless internet connection after entering their username and password.The phone will function on encrypted WI-FI networks as long as the user has the proper network ID.Web 2.0 refers to a second generation of services available on the world wide web they allow people to collaborate and share infromation online.Unlike the traditional static web pages of the first generation ,web2.0 gives users an experience akin to desktop application often use a combination of techniques devised in the late1992 including public web services APIs(dating from 1998),Ajax (1998) and web syndication(1997).They ofter allow for mass participation (web-based social-software).The concept may include blogs and wikis.Web 2.0 was originally created as a marketing phrase.O’reilly and media live international popularised the terms as the name for a series of web development conference that started in october 2004.CMP media,which purchased media live,claims the term as a service mark for lives events,reserving exclusive use of the term for its own conferences.
A Blu-ray disc (BD) and HD DVD are next-generation optical disc formats meant for high density storage of high definition video and data.The Blu-ray data Association’s Blu-ray technology is spearheaded by sony.As of 2006 Blu of 25GB HD DVD is primary rival to blu–ray, championed by toshiba, NEC corporation, microsoft, and intel.HD DVD has a disc capacity of 30 GB.
All movies currently released (as of 2006) have been done on single-layer discs.The goal is to reach the standerd of 50+dual-laye disc capable of storing four hours of high–definition MPEG-2 video content–similar to the four hour of high–definition video content.Initially it may be be more expensive to produce.
India could soon be the third country in the world after the USA and France to have a stealth bomber fighter aircraft in its armoury.The kolkata based indian association for cultivation of science (IACS) has developed a technology to convert ordinary light combat aircraft into stealth jets that go undertected on radar.According to IACS scientist,the technology has special techniques and material to construct a shield on the plexiglass canopies. It is the glass cover of the cockpit that usually betrays the presence of an aircraft as it reflects the laser beam that is emitted to catch them on the radar.The sheild will cover the cockpit and deflect the laser beam on the sheild in all directions.This will make sure the aircraft remains undetected on the radar and even to AWACS.IACS’efforts will give a big boost to india’s indigenisation efforts.
According to a joint research team from Tokya university and tha Japan agency for Marine-earth science and technology,a 100 meter long column of flammable ice exists beneath the seabed of the sae of japan off joetsu,niigata prefecture.Flammable ice is methane hydrate composed of methane nad water.Part of the column is exposed and judging from its size,the team believes there is large natural gas field under the seabed.Methane hydrates are available on the seabed in the gulf of mexico,off vancouver and other places in the world.This is the first discovery of the substance near japan which is need for rapid development.Methane hydrate is created when molecules of flammable methane is the main component of natural gas are confined in lattice like structures composed of water molecules.As per estimation there is sufficient flammable ice under the seabed in areas surrounding japan to supply japan for 100 years,based on current gas consumption levels.Because of this,methene hydrate is drawing attention as a new natural resource.
When rapid technological development take place their misuse is bound to happened simultaneously.What is important is to take right steps at right time to control its misuse.

In the present context, the security and protection of an industry is essential. In order to provide these, we need to focus on the electrical parameters like, voltage, current temperature etc. So we have presented all these parameters in a single panel to comprehend easily and also tried to reduce the complexity. In our model, we have tried to put the notion of protections costlier and expensive equipment by using circuit-breaker, insulation and relay etc. Eventually, we have used trespassing which provide alertness in the confidential area or prohibited area.

MODEL COMPETITION –AT GLANCE
Model presentation at institute of material and mineral technology(IMMT) which was earlier known as Regional research laboratory(RRL),BHUBANESWHER(ORISSA)
On that day we were very excited for the competition, which was to be attended by the chairman of AICTE (sri.damodar archarya) as the guest in the campus of IMMT.The campus was well decorated and well furnished. It was also special for us because it was our first model competition. This competition was hold on the occasion of foundation day of CSIR (council of scientific industrial and research).
Many different colleges came and had performed their model with details. We had also presented our model with complete details and flow diagram and requisite information, the chief guest was impressed with our model which was based on the protection of industrial system (IPS).At last when prize ceremony was to be organized our heart beats started to bit faster……..but when we came to know that we had emerged as the winner of the competition in the rank of FIRST (1ST).we were really happy and unable to express our view. Such was our condition but slowly we had restore everything
At last everything was up to mark and lived to our expectation .we were awarded with cash prize and important certificate along with some special gift.

The model on theme SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT, was conducted by Indian science congress and state pollution control board addition to biju Pattnaik University of technology and Orissa environment society at REC-SAP at bhubaneswer.we had presented our model on RECYCLING OF PLASTIC and had followed 3R concept i.e. REUSE, RELIABILTY, RENEWABLE .We had secured third position in that and got cash prize.
